PORK SKEWER WITH STICKY RICE (KHAO NIAOW MU PING)

Mu ping (pronounced ‘MU PIN’) is a common food to find in the street of Thailand that usually start to sell around 5 am-11 am and can be eaten as a breakfast meal. The name Mu ping came from the Thai word “หมูปิ้ง” which means grilled pork. The word “Mu” means pork and “Ping” means grilling.

Mu Ping is a set of meal that comes as three skewers of grilled pork and a package of sticky rice that started to get popular in the late 1952.
